Information Builders maps out future for BI

BI gets web 2.0 makeover

Written by Rosalie Marshall

Business intelligence vendor Information Builders has developed a new tool, integrating its analysis tools with Google's mapping technology, to provide what it terms "geographic BI".

WebFocus for Google Maps is Information Builders first so-called enterprise mash-up. By moving to different positions on Google Maps, users will be able to compare data between different geographical locations.

The company claims that overlaying maps with operational data and reports created using WebFocus will improve users' ability to identify regional and local trends.

WebFocus for Google Maps includes a graphical user interface that allows users with little training and no coding knowledge to configure Google Maps to WebFocus.
