Most major corporations have embraced offshore delivery of IT, and they are moving to the next stage of a global delivery model in which both supplier and internal resources are located wherever makes sense from a business perspective, with very few duplicate roles across the world. The economic challenges of 2009 have accelerated this change, because there are major economic benefits associated with it.
