Having evolved unplanned, business communications are often fragmented, causing inefficiency in the interactions between employees. Unified communications (UC) promises to reintegrate these interactions, but UC has suffered from being seen as too vague a proposition, offering intangible benefits, such as increased productivity and customer satisfaction, that are difficult to quantify.
Yet research* suggests that aggressive adopters of UC derive significant benefit from widespread rollout of rich UC features to their workforce. The opportunity to drive new efficiencies is there to be grasped, but how can IT leaders build a convincing business case to present to the board?
This Computing web seminar, in association with NEC, will explore research which shows a solid case for rich and deep UC rollout, examine the experiences of early adopters who have exceeded their expectations from UC deployment, and discuss how chief information officers can build a compelling business case for UC in their organisation.
