Music Balloon, a social media network for music fans, has moved to version 6.0 of the Mvine social business platform, which was released last week.
Music Balloon has been an Mvine user for almost two years. The platform provides it with content sharing, forums and digital content management as well as in-built business intelligence.
In addition, Mvine provides expert consultancy and because it is hosted in the cloud it can scale with demand.
New to version 6.0 of the platform is "interactive databasing", which replaces static spreadsheet cells with rich data including any number of digital assets, videos, images and documents together with active web links, imported Tweets, Facebook, LinkedIn feeds.
The updated software also features more granular identity and access management capabilities, according to Mvine.
"If we had built the platform ourselves the outlay would have been extensive – possibly two or three times more than we paid," said co-founder and CEO of Music Balloon, Stephen Stanton-Downes.
"The solution allowed us to configure the platform for our own purposes, something that we were unable to do with other platforms," he added.
Music Balloon is a social media network for music fans and artists. Each artist has their own page to which they upload content such as videos and concert dates. A fan can follow their favourite artists and buy content online.
In the future, Music Balloon is looking to launch services aim at comedy fans and people interested in literature.
