Melin Homes, a provider of affordable homes in south east Wales, has signed a five-year deal with Capita's software services division in an attempt to create efficient working processes and streamline operations.
Capita will provide a number of services for Melin, including direct access to tenancy information over the internet, customer profiling and satisfaction surveys, as well as CRM facilities.
These services will use an integrated solution, which will include Capita's OPENHousing, OPENContractor and OPENFinancials platforms. These applications are part of Capita's social housing software suite and include accounting, job costing, personnel, stock control and fleet management systems.
"We aim to make a positive difference within the communities in which we work and in order to achieve this, it is key that we maintain a fresh and dynamic outlook," said Mark Gardner, chief executive at Melin Homes.
"Our use of IT and software is one way in which we can ensure this. We look forward to working closely with the Capita team to continue to develop our business efficiencies," he added.
Melin will also be provided with a text messaging platform that will be used to confirm housing appointments and provide customers with information about their tenancy. Tenants will also have access to a resident's portal, which will allow customers to request repairs and view details about their account online.
