HP's chief executive has launched a major reshuffle of the company's management team, with the head of its enterprise business unit losing her role and its chief information officer departing.
Ann Livermore, who headed up the $30bn server, storage, services and software business and has twice been overlooked for the HP top job, is being moved to the company's management board.
CIO Randy Mott, who formerly held the same role at Dell and Walmart, has left the company with immediate effect.
Dave Donatelli, servers and storage chief, and Bill Veghte, software chief, will now report directly to chief execitive Léo Apotheker.
The changes will help "streamline our operations, drive focus and agility", said Apotheker.
Livermore has been a fixture at HP since 1982 and was touted as a potential successor to former chief executives Carly Fiorina and Mark Hurd.
