EMC World 2011: Big data meets the cloud

The annual EMC World conference kicks off in Las Vegas today and Computing will be at the event covering all the key news and goings on.

Storage company EMC has decided to dedicate this year's event to the topics of cloud computing and big data.

Further reading

There will be keynote sessions, provided by the likes of Pat Gelsinger, president and chief operating officer of EMC information infrastructure products, on how and why companies should be looking to place their big data in the cloud.

There is also likely to be lively discussions around how to best utilise business intelligence and what skills are required for success in the cloud.
