The Carphone Warehouse is extending use of productivity solutions provider RedPrairie's Execution Management to 1,000 more staff.
The firm originally used the technology to automate communication between retail stores. It is now rolling it out to a further 1,000 workers in its telesales and customer support channels.
"RedPrairie's solution allows us to communicate more efficiently with colleagues in our retail and support operations. Execution Management also gives us timely feedback from the front line to help us shape our business," said Jane Middleton Jones, senior channel operations manager at The Carphone Warehouse.
The retailer said that automation of communication has freed up time previously spent by support centre staff and management issuing and following up communications.
Execution Management provides a task management dashboard to branch managers, which has provided information on point of sale changes, product launches, promotions and product recalls, by importance and deadline.
