The annual Las Vegas-based IBM Pulse kicked off yesterday, and as usual the event will see the great and good of the IT industry explore how technology can be used to create a smarter planet.

Pulse will explore how different practices can be used to help organisations optimise their infrastructure in terms of green IT.

Further reading

Computing will be stalking the strip and reporting on the latest news and highlights from the event.

Expect plentiful discussions and announcements around cloud, security and business intelligence.
