The BBC is to launch an iPad app for its popular iPlayer streaming service this week.
The news was broken by video producer and editor at the BBC Geoff Marshall on Twitter.
"iPlayer App for iPad is being released this Thursday 10th Feb. 3G connection is browse only. Browse+Playback requires Wi-Fi. #iplayer," he tweeted.
The app will initially be rolled out in the UK only, with a subscription-based US version due to be released soon.
