Solcara, a UK-based developer of software for the control, management and searching of digital information, has teamed up with enterprise search specialist Isys Search to extend its SolSearch offering.
SolSearch Indexer aims to deliver a comprehensive and cost-effective enterprise search solution, which combines federated search technology with an advanced indexing capability.
According to Solcara, SolSearch Indexer benefits from an enhanced functional administrator interface, and can extract entities and concepts when indexing documents, web sites and databases. These entities and concepts can then be used to support more efficient navigation of indexed content.
Solcara managing director Rob Martin said, "By adding the new indexing module to our federated search technology, we will be providing enterprises with an even more powerful integrated search solution. The new indexing module will enable firms to quickly, and cost effectively, apply advanced indexing techniques to content that is not already effectively indexed."
SolSearch Indexer can index content from document management systems, relational database management systems, file systems, web sites and email systems.
