While 82 per cent of respondents said their organisation considers IT skills development to be important, only 40 per cent said it was as important to have a professional development scheme. And only nine per cent actually have one.

Nearly 20 per cent of respondents said their organisation had spent £10,000 or above on IT training in the last year. And the same amount said they had spent nothing at all.
