Retailers clueless about data

A third of retailers implementing customer databases have no idea what to do with the data collected, a KPMG report published last week found. While 61% of European retailers have databases, 32% said they had no reason for collating the resulting data. Food retailers are ahead of others in the retail sector when it comes to data collection and analysis.
