Speciality clothing retailer Ann Taylor is using new workforce management software to match the deployment of staff to its busiest periods.

The company is using the software to manage forecasting, scheduling, business process workflows and e-learning courses.

Director of store operations Scott Knaul says the suite also provides reporting and analysis modules, which allows the retailer to analyse long term trends and deploy resources more effectively.

‘We wanted a robust tool to help managers deploy labour more effectively in response to client traffic,’ he said.

‘We evaluated a number of providers and following a pilot, installed the BlueCube Enterprise Workforce Management suite from RedPrairie.’
