Senior US IT directors are protesting against Software Publishers Association proposals to exempt vendors from liability if their products do not work or cause harm under law. A group of 2,700 top IT executives, dubbed the Society for Information Management, has urged members to petition US lawmakers to halt or modify changes in state commerce laws.
