Scottish Water has outsourced its application development projects and programmes in a four-year framework agreement.
The business transformation project will improve the organisation's water and sewerage connections service, streamlining the application process for builders and property developers.
The contract was awarded to international supplier Atos Origin, in partnership with Graham Technology.
Scottish Water wanted to work with a company that could improve its relationship with customers, said head of IT David Brown.
“We selected the suppliers for their proven expertise in implementing large and complex business change and customer service-focused IT programmes," he said.
