"Bats remains committed to making markets better through the creation of innovative trading tools and services such as real-time market data feed redistribution from the Bats Europe MTF," said Chris Isaacson, chief operating officer at Bats Exchange.
Bats received authorisation from the Financial Services Authority to begin operations in Europe last year. A direct competitor of the London Stock Exchange, the firm sought to take advantage of competition driven by the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive rules to liberalise equity trading across Europe.
