Mitel has developed a package to help individuals set up as helpdesk agents from home. For around #2,000, agents can be part of helpdesk teams from their homes and gain access to callers and their data. Agents working remotely are equipped with the same setup as they would have in a call centre, in addition to getting a Mitel remote access and ISDN line. Mitel said the service is already being trialled by a national utility.
