Salesforce.com has developed a new toolkit for Google Data APIs that allows developers to build web applications from a combination Salesforce and Google App services.
The Force.com Toolkit for Google Data APIs “allows developers to seamlessly integrate multi-cloud applications”, said Ariel Kelman, senior director of product marketing at Salesforce.
For example, developers building a recruitment site using Saleforce’s database, logic and workflow capabilities are now able to instantly combine additional recruitment information from Google spreadsheets, Kelman said.
The announcement builds on the April launch of Salesforce for Google Apps, which combines Google's email, calendaring, documents, spreadsheets, presentations and instant messaging with Salesforce customer relationship management functions such as sales, marketing, service and support.
