Professor will receive his CBE from the queen

Professor Stephen Furber, ICL Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Manchester has been made a CBE in the New Year's honours list " for services to computer science".

Others technology names on the list include BT Wales director Ann Benyon, and Dr Roger Hill,technical specialist at SELEX Sensors and Airborne Systems.

Will Google’s new privacy policy impact how you use its services?
