Staff and patients to speak on NHS IT

The National Programme for NHS IT has set up two new committees to address concerns about the involvement of doctors and patients in its £2.3bn projects.

The National Clinical Advisory Board (NCAB) includes representatives from 30 branches of the health service, including GPs and pharmacists.

Further reading

The Public Advisory Board includes representatives from patient, carer and citizen groups.

The committees meet for the first time today, and aim to clarify what staff and patients want.
