United Utilities has signed a framework agreement with supplier CSC, which will allow the outsourcing firm to bid for work supporting the company’s current IT programme.
The agreement has a base period of three years and two one-year options. Under the terms of the contract, CSC can pitch for projects that are part of United Utilities’ information services capital programme, which began last year and runs until 2013.
Projects underpinning the overhaul at the utilities firm cover categories such as infrastructure services, system integration and support for systems deployed.
“This relationship affords United Utilities the opportunity to work with a global IT provider with an established North-West capability and presence,” said United Utilities chief information officer Martin Bradbury.
