Computer processing glitch delays salary payments

Up to 400,000 people may fail to receive their salary payment on time

Up to 400,000 people may not receive their salary payments today (Friday) because of a processing problem with the banking system.

Automated clearing house Bacs, which processes ninety per cent of UK salaries failed to clear both weekly and monthly salaries due to be paid before the weekend.

Google recently said will consolidate more than 60 of its privacy policies into one, unifying customer data across most of its products. The announcement has met with a backlash in the US, while EU officials have asked Google to put its plans on hold so it can assess the privacy impact for users.
