Researcher IDC has upped its forecast for annual pc shipment figures, predicting a 15.2 per cent rise over 2007.
The firm previously gave an estimate of 12.8 per cent growth, but adjusted this total following an early surge in laptop sales.
Rival group Gartner has also increased its forecast from 10.9 per cent to 12.5 per cent.
