India is expressing concern over Japan's insistence on levying 20% tax on local firms importing software from India. The confusion has arisen after Japan classified software as 'technical services' contrary to the practice of classifying software exports as intellectual property or contract, according to Dewang Mehta, president of the Indian National Association of Service and Software Companies.
