The move came hot on the heels of last month’s announcement that Business Objects is to buy business performance management (BPM) vendor SRC Software.
Under the terms of the new partnership, the business intelligence (BI) giant will integrate its BusinessObjects XI Built for Operational BI suite with CommerceQuest’s Universal Process Engine, enabling firms to automatically trigger processes in response to business changes recorded by the BI platform.
Richard Neale of Business Objects said the alliance would help managers develop systems so that BI functionality can help
corporate decision-making.
