The British Computer Society (BCS) has signed a contract with India's Brilliant Examination Provider (BEP), to enable Indian It professionals to gain BCS qualifications.
Initially, BEP will offer the organisation's latest qualification in Green IT as well as Software Testing and Business Analysis certifications, before gradually expanding its offering of the Institute’s qualifications.
Michiel Van der Voort, an executive director at the BCS said: "By using local examination providers, we can utilise their expertise and networking to provide a quality service tailored to the needs of the local IT professionals and IT training companies.”
This is third such contract the BCS has signed with overseas providers and it hopes to push into more countries in the future as part of a strategy to become a global provider.
Krishna Lunia of BEP said: "This partnership enables BEP to bring to the local market a diverse portfolio of examinations that have international recognition combined with local assessment that will provide a highly efficient quality of service at an affordable price."
