Law firm improves remote working

More applications will be available on Blackberrys

Law firm Lewis Silkin LLP is making further applications available for its employees on BlackBerry devices to allow remote working and improve efficiency.

The system, which will be provided by Mobotel, will increase the number of BlackBerry connections to bring the firm’s total number to 80 and will ensure business-critical applications are available for Lewis Silkin employees when they are on the move.

'We are continually striving to be technologically innovative and add value to our services. Having these systems integrated with our BlackBerry devices means our staff can get more functionality out of them,' said Jan Durant, head of IT at Lewis Silkin.

MoboTel will integrate two of the company’s key back-office systems to enable staff to access the server securely from remote locations. The software to be integrated includes Interaction, a customer relationship management system, and Opentext’s DM5, a document management system.

This provides the firm with greater flexibility, increased productivity and access to key information securely.
