Carphone Warehouse says the new network will provide flexibility for future growth

Carphone Warehouse has signed a £1.28m communications contract with network provider Geo.

Under the terms of the 10-year deal, Geo will supply a fibre network to connect seven key Carphone Warehouse sites around London. The fibre-optic cables will give Carphone Warehouse the option to expand its network in future without paying additional installation costs.

The bespoke project will involve the use of the existing London network as well as the laying of new cables. All the fibre optics involved will remain dedicated to Carphone Warehouse services.

'Geo’s solution gives us the tools to grow our network and therefore our business,' said Neil McArthur, managing director for Carphone Warehouse Networks.

'Our network has been designed with only our requirements in mind, so it’s instantly a better fit to our needs.'
