Ecommerce is becoming the Emperor?s New Clothes of the 1990s, according to some. One such sceptic is Australian jeweller, Jacques Voorhees, who has taken the brave step of speaking out against the trend toward encouraging people to shop over the Web. Interfering with established patterns of behaviour among your customers, says Voorhees, could easily backfire on you. Losing the point of contact with your customers and encouraging them to experiment with other ways of shopping could mean they end up going elsewhere.
