IT services firm Atos Origin has posted mixed results for the first quarter 2010, with revenue down 5.5 per cent to €1.23bn (£1.08bn) but total order entries up 17 per cent to €1.6m (£1.41bn).
The company also reduced its net debt from €139m (£122m) to €130m (£114m) during the period.
Atos has seen a number of new contracts and renewals during the period. New contracts include a Managed Services deal with the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) in the UK.
Contract renewals include those for Managed Services with the UK government and Dutch telecoms firm KPN. The Consulting division also renewed a contract with the Department for International Development.
The company reduced its head count across divisions by more than 600 during the first quarter but has increased its headcount within systems integration and consulting by 90 staff.
