Athlon processor goes to front in chip-speed race.

AMD has captured the lead in the chip-speed race with a processor which it claims runs faster than rival Intel's Pentium III processor. The company says its latest Athlon microprocessor will have a speed of 750MHz, compared to the Pentium III's 733MHz.
