Apex has appointed Philip Kingdom as Internet and IT security consultant.

Kingdom, with his background in corporate Internet Web site sales to businesses worldwide, will be responsible for both permanent and contract recruitment, placing staff in a range of marketplaces including the financial and insurance sectors, ISPs, and in companies with an international Internet presence.

His own specialist areas are Internet-related technology, including development support, Web authoring and administration; and IT security covering all elements of security from managers and encryption specialists involved in electronic commerce and firewalls through to administration staff.

Gary Allen, managing director, said: "We are delighted to welcome Phil to Apex. His appointment further strengthens our established consultancy team. With many City and client organisations developing and expanding their presence on the net, there is a real demand for people with Internet expertise. Phil, with his considerable knowledge and understanding of Web site issues, will enable Apex to find and place the right person for the job."
