A Gartner Group report claims one in 10 critical systems in Australian hospitals are going to crash thanks to the year 2000 problem. Sixty per cent of hospitals and healthcare organisations have failed to get to grips with the date change, according to Gartner. ?Healthcare has one of the highest incidences of embedded systems across industries. These systems can harbour the year 2000 bug in their microcode,? the report said.
