Uniqlo's new POS system enables better data management

Clothing retailer Uniqlo has rolled out a new point-of-sale (POS) platform which enables faster processing of different applications and reduces support costs.

With the NCR-supplied packaged system which comprises of the software and workstations with touchscreens, the business can now process real-time store and head office data exchange. Other tools include analytics and web-based mapping and data transportation tools for store communications.

“With unprecedented performance, scalability and systems manageability, the new system enables us to accommodate more customer needs in these very high footfall outlets,” said Uniqlo’s chief executive Simon Coble.
