BSkyB has hired online search optimisation agency SEO Intelligent Positioning as part of its efforts to increase web traffic and brand awareness.
The partnership is a continuation of both firms' existing relationship and will aim to deliver search improvements to Sky's growing online portfolio, currently visited by more than 7.6 million monthly unique users.
Under the agreement, SEO will provide search analytics tools to BSkyB and recommend changes to the web sites needed for higher ranking in search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.
Recent online development activity at Sky include the launch of a dedicated shopping arm and the relaunch of the channel’s motoring site.
