The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has appointed Atos Origin as its worldwide IT partner.
The contract includes creation of systems to manage the athletes' biographical, physical and statistical data to help improve performances, as well as individual sponsorship deals.
It will also allow the French supplier to expand its marketing rights in association with the Paralympics.
"The solution to be provided by Atos Origin will help the IPC grow and offer better services to its members, National Paralympic Committees, athletes and competition organisers," said IPC president Philip Craven.
Atos has provided IT consulting, systems integration and operations management for all winter and summer Olympic games since 2002.
