Daily Mail Group is consolidating its finance systems

The Daily Mail and General Trust Group is replacing separate financial systems from suppliers Sun and Coda with a single system from rival Agresso.

The firm, which publishes the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, is replacing financial systems at its largest divisions, Associated Newspapers and Northcliffe Media.

The group will use Agresso’s Business World System to manage financial, purchasing, reporting, fixed assets, travel expenses and workflow information.

‘We hope the system will enable us to share knowledge and expertise between divisions, allowing us to implement processes that are more efficient, automated and effective,’ said the group’s programme director Matt Page.

‘This will allow us to improve communication between the teams and ultimately create flexible financial operations.’
