Press Association appoints first tech chief to executive team

News agency the Press Association has appointed a CTO

The Press Association (PA) has appointed its first chief technology officer (CTO) to the company’s senior executive team.

Andrew Dowsett assumed the role today, and will take responsibility for all IT across the PA Group, including activities from software development and internal IT to external service delivery.

He will report to group chief executive Clive Marshall, and will be based in the company’s London office.

Dowsett worked most recently as operations and technology director at Bauer Consumer Media Limited. Prior to this he held senior roles at companies including EMAP, EMI and Virgin Media Group.

PA Group offers services supplying text, images and video content across digital, print and broadcast platforms and has corporate and consumer customers in over 90 countries around the world.
