Wireless ISP The Cloud has launched its Ultra WiFi service, offering unlimited broadband Wi-Fi access for £11.99 a month under a 12-month subscription, or £11.99 per week on a pay-as-you-go basis.

The service will launch across the UK on The Cloud’s 7,000 hotspots and nine city centre hotzones, including Manchester and Oxford. The Cloud’s City of London hotzone will be operational by September.

The Cloud’s Bobby Sarin said, “The Ultra WiFi service gives regular mobile internet users a realistic alternative to mobile data solutions from cellular operators, at a cost they can control.”

Users could expect between 2Mbit/s and 8Mbit/s depending on how many people are using their nearest wireless access point.
