Apple's iMac hits streets

Apple Computer?s iMac machine went on sale in the US last week. Early indications were that the computer was selling rapidly, helped by a $100 million (#60m) advertising campaign. iMac uses a 233MHz PowerPC G3 processor. The computer has a translucent casing which houses the monitor, hard drive, CD-Rom drive, a 10/100BaseT Ethernet card, and stereo speakers.
