Computer peripherals specialist Logitech International reported net income of $66.3m (£33.3m) for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2007, up from $56.2m (£28.2m) in the fourth quarter of 2006. The company saw sales revenues increase by 17 per cent to $601.2m (£301.9m) in the same period.
Sales of cordless mice for the quarter grew 58 per cent year on year, with speakers up 24 per cent and retail video up 9 per cent. OEM sales, driven by strong demand for microphones used for console based online gaming, grew 34 per cent, said the company.
Full year results were less spectacular: net income remained flat at $231m (£116m), despite sales revenues rising 15 per cent to $2.4bn (£1.2bn) from $2.1bn (£1bn) in fiscal year 2006.
