Servelec masters weather system

Sheffield-based Servelec has won a #1 million deal with the Environment Agency to design, install and commission a telemetry system. Tidal and river systems data, weather radar and other applications will be integrated to provide greater control over weather data and storm warning requirements. The solution will comprise a wide-area network running Sun Microsystems servers and Pentium workstations.
