RSA Security has announced new software to help firms enforce access policies, comply with regulations and roll out large-scale web access management systems.
RSA Access Manager 6.0, previously under the ClearTrust brand, includes a raft of new features for IT administrators, including an enhanced user interface, support for Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Application Mode, and single-sign on capabilities.

Another major new feature is hierarchical delegated administration, which enables large firms to delegate support for the access management infrastructure across large numbers of administrative groups, according to RSA's Kevin Turner.
"It [enables firms to] go down to a finer grain of implementation, and will make life easier for large-scale deployments, which [come with] a [degree of] complexity," said Turner.
The product also supports 64bit operating systems and enhanced reporting and logging for compliance purposes, added Turner.
The product is scheduled to be available worldwide from August.
