Valuable Jobcentre Plus personal adviser time is being wasted coping with slow-running and inconvenient computer systems, according to a National Audit Office report.
Some 47 per cent surveyed whose work is 'heavily reliant' on IT complained of IT delays 'daily' - a claim disputed by management - systems are incapable of printing out client details, diary systems are 'cumbersome' and too many fields on computerised forms have to be re-keyed separately and almost identically for each new customer, says the report.

I don't understand, everyone has access to the internet in one way or another, and it means you dont have to move to look for a job... the website http://www.jobcentreplusuk.co.uk provides a list of jobs down the left hand side, they click and it brings up detailed ads for job vacancies.
It also can list jobs by 'type' and even by 'county' or 'region'... a very easy way to look for a job, and maybe its time to cut down on the budgets set out for staff and buildings, when the internet is openly available to majority of the UK.
