Electronics manufacturer Brother has extended its deal with Atos Origin for the provision of hosting and SAP support services.
The extended contract will see the IT services firm managing the transition of all Brother’s SAP systems to a new hosting environment based on a dual datacentre system which includes full disaster recovery capability.
Brother said that its need for round-the-clock availability and minimum downtime in the case of an incident prompted the decision to upgrade the hosting environment for SAP applications. The business also hopes that the migration will further improve service quality and reduce costs.
Brother has used Atos Origin's services since 1999.
