BT provides the least satisfactory broadband services of the eight leading UK providers, according to a new customer survey.
Tiscali was in front, with 668 rating points out of a possible 1000, up from third place in 2006, followed by Virgin Media and Sky.
Average customer service levels overall were down nine points compared with last year, at 645.
Almost half (49 per cent) of respondents have wireless networks in their homes, a 14 per cent rise on last year.
The average broadband customer is now spending £21.10 per month, compared with £25.91 in 2006, while the average broadband speed is up 40 per cent to 4.87Mbit/s.
The 2007 UK Broadband Internet Service Provider Study from researcher JD Power and Associates surveyed responses from 1,683 UK broadband ISP customers.
