RNID rolls out photo library

The Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID) has implemented an online image library enabling staff to access photography from any location, with shorter download times.

The suite of software tools, supplied by vendor Concrete Group, enables better viewing, editing and downloading of the organisation’s photography in an accessible online library.

RNID has invested £30,000 to date in the development of the image library application which is operating on a web-hosting basis.

Staff and designers can access images from any location to improve the access and sharing of images for staff employed across the UK.

Faster access to high and low resolution photography within the library has resulted in time savings for RNID staff working in the organisation’s UK offices and remotely.

‘The charity’s work and the services we provide are forever increasing and the lack of an easily accessible picture library was proving to be problematic,’ said Nicole Seagrim, photography and imaging executive at RNID.

‘With a large number of designers within the charity working remotely, basic packages used by other charities did not stand up to our needs.'
