Capita Life & Pensions Services (CLPS) has hired application management specialist Micro Focus for a series of strategic modernisation projects aimed at cost cutting and greater efficiency.
The three-year contract is worth around £600,000-£900,000 in yearly fees, according to financial analyst Cazenove.
The agreement foresees immediate work on two or three projects which will include the migration of some core administration systems off a mainframe to Windows environments.
CLPS is part of outsourcing provider Capita and supplies life and pensions administration services, managing over 15 million policies.
“The ability to modernise existing systems on contemporary platforms is key to providing an effective administration service for our clients in the future,” said Craig Rodgerson, IT director at Capita Life & Pensions Services.
