Let the denizens of the Silicon Roundabout work their magic

14 Nov 2011

I read with interest the article “Tech City CEO asks government to engage more with entrepreneurs" and couldn’t agree more.

The recession has affected all parts of the UK, but the tech sector, particularly in areas like London’s Silicon Roundabout, has great potential to drive employment and growth through the success of innovative new companies. Any new regulations or policies need to be supportive of the industry and its future growth, not restrictive, and the government needs to ensure that any barriers to growth are removed, rather than new ones added.

Therefore it makes sense to include companies and entrepreneurs from within the Silicon Roundabout in government policy discussions. After all, they are the experts and visionaries that will help drive the industry forward in the coming years.
